Welben Charles-Daniel James, born to W. Gerard James and Melissa James, was immersed in the world of music even before his birth. Following the guidance of her uncle, Mrs. James played the piano daily during her pregnancy, nurturing Welben's innate love for music.

Welben's musical journey began in church, where he developed a passion for gospel, jazz, and his all-time favorite band, Earth, Wind & Fire. A 2021 graduate of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, Welben further honed his skills in 2017 by joining A Cappella Camp under the leadership of Reginald Bowens.

Singing and playing the piano are Welben's greatest joys, closely followed by spending quality time with his family and church community, playing video games, and continuously expanding his musical knowledge.
