Position: Marketing Assistant

Work Method: Remote

Start Date: February 25, 2025 (preferred)

End Date: July 25, 2025

Type: Internship (Flexible work hours are commensurate with the intern’s degree program requirements.)

Job Description: The Marketing Assistant will learn how A Cappella Camp (ACC)’s marketing is planned, according to potential impact and targeted audiences. Marketing is a major part of ACC’s responsibilities, including website updates, social media marketing, newsletters, printed and digital ads, brochure design, and more. Intern responsibilities include:

  • Correspondence with photographers and videographers

  • Mailing list development

  • Researching free and paid listings searches related to ACC’s varied target audiences

  • Participating in all related meetings

  • Contributing to monthly blogs

  • Benchmarking research; and

  • Presenting new ideas on how to better reach middle and high school students 

  • Increasing ACC’s visibility on its social media pages

  • Presenting new ideas on how to reach our targeted audiences, as we have several categories influenced by participants' age, musical and career interest, and other needs; and

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Be enrolled in a university or college program in arts administration, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Have experience with or interest in social media engagement. 

  • Have experience with or interest for detailed online research (e.g., benchmarking, contact listings, social media pages, etc.).

  • Have familiarity with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (strongly encouraged), as most of the online research's findings will be presented in that format. 

  • Have good organizational skills.

  • Have exceptional writing skills in order to write blogs, interviews, and other written pieces. 

  • Be resourceful, proactive, and creative, as a lot of the research and writing tasks are completed remotely.
