"I've always loved music and it has always been a big force in my life. The A Cappella Camp I attended, under the direction of Reginald Bowens, took me to a deeper depth of the music world. I enjoyed every moment of the program and learned many vauble things while I attended it. The most vauble lesson I learned was that your voice is greater than any instrument."
"I have been a camper at A Cappella Camp for teens for four years. I was here to see the program grow into the wonderful experience it has become today. I would not have wanted to spend my summers any other way. Through the camp I have been provided with the tools to be a greater musician. I have developed my voice, my confidence as a singer (and soloist), and gained the courage to tackle music theory. A Cappella Camp played a major role in my high school career. I found myself applying the lessons I learned from camp from the many exciting master classes to my everyday rehearsal. I can truly say that because of this camp, I have reached levels in music that I never saw myself reaching."
"My past two years of A Cappella Camp have been nothing short of spectacular. It has definitely been quite the experience and it's given me some of the knowledge that I possess today about stage presence, and how you train voice to get it where you want it to be."
"I have been attending A Cappella Camp since the summer of 2014 and I have had a wonderful experience thus far. The staff is amazing and willing to work with any camper who may have questions, or concerns about the camp or themselves. They have high standards, but it’s because they know that all of the campers attending are capable of greatness. Before this camp, I mostly sang in church choirs and the choirs at my school. I’ve always loved singing in those choirs, but there was always a technical aspect missing. This camp has definitely filled that void. In going to this camp, I’ve learned proper networking skills, how to read music better, and how to take care of my vocal heath. I used to be very insecure about my voice and self-conscious. Going to A Cappella Camp I have gained a lot more confidence in myself and in my vocal abilities. I have learned a lot and along the way, I have made a lot of new friends. A Cappella Camp has given me a new outlook on music and life. My experience has been wonderful!!!!! I LOVE THIS CAMP!"
"There aren't enough words in the dictionary that can describe how great the AcaCamp experience is for one's talent. This camp has been a wonderful experience for me and these little vocal cords of mine. It's funny how something can teach you SO much in SO little time. I learned first to be on time everyday (because you might miss out on a lot being 5 minutes late to a session), breathing control (when it comes to holding a long note), not to strain my voice, and also learning theory and how to read music. Although theory was hard to learn, I managed to get through it (thanks to Randy and Reggie), learned how to read music, and also learned how to play a little piano."
"My AcaCamp experience was great! I have learned so many things about genre, style, songwriting, theory, and singing. At A Cappella Camp, they give you many tools that you can take away and use for the future. I have learned a great deal of things at A Cappella Camp that I will carry with me for the rest of my life."
"A Cappella Camp was a wonderful experience for me. I have participated for three years (or four?), and it is the one thing that I look forward to every summer. The best part of it all is that I get to sing and fellowship with people that love music just as much as I do. It's something about singing in an ensemble that makes me happy. A Cappella Camp is a wonderful experience that I recommend everyone who loves music to try out."
"The experience I had at AcaCamp was Amazing. It introduced me to other styles of music, helped me understand things in jazz, and understand the things that go into arranging. It also allowed me to make great friendships that will be long-lasting."
"As someone who loves music and the ability it has to bring like-minded people together, attending last summer's A Cappella Camp was a truly rewarding and enriching experience. I really enjoyed being in an environment surrounded by others, both teachers and students alike, with a serious passion and love for what they do. I loved how it gave me the opportunity to explore my voice amongst the other students, while also learning more about the fundamentals of music."
"I've been a part of AcaCamp for two years so far and it's been great with the skills we learn, like music theory, vocal percussion, and improvisation. You also meet new people who enjoy singing as much as you do. AcaCamp is perfect for anyone who likes to sing because it helps you become better at singing and learning music. Plus, camp is always fun! You learn different genres of music and it's just a great experience for vocalists, and I love it!"
